PERSONA
Name: Camilla Dupre
Nicknames: Cammie
Gender: Female
Marital Status: Single
Age: 16
Birthday: January 8
Sexuality: Straight
Personality: Cammie often comes across as an overbearing attention-seeker. She loves being the center of attention and impressing people. She sometimes sticks her foot in her mouth due to her social filter usually being disabled, but ultimately she means well and tries to give other people the same attention she seeks. Being ignored or overlooked, particularly by people she cares about, really gets to her. Given that she's had always siblings around her for her entire life, being alone makes her uncomfortable and she doesn't really get privacy or people wanting to be alone.
Likes: Attention, fancy clothing, flowers, dancing, evening and nighttime, gumbo
Dislikes: Being ignored, being alone, the Dayball and its scorching rays, being second best
Motivations: Cammie wants to be recognized for her own talents; growing up as the least talented of four children she never seemed to stand out or get any attention on her own. Pokemon training is something that she's good at, something no one else in her family excels at, and something that gets attention - three things that make it perfect for her.
Fears: Cammie fears being alone - she doesn't like being isolated from other people, and being apart from her Bulbasaur (or worse, losing him) is the worst thing she can imagine. Past that, she worries that she just doesn't have what it takes to be a great trainer, and that it's one more thing everyone else will beat her at.
Strengths:
Determination: Cammie has known failure in her life, but there are two things she is determined not to give up on: she will never give up on her Bulbasaur (the first person or Pokemon to believe in her) and never give up on her dream of being the best. She expects setbacks, but will not let them keep her down forever.
Dauntless: It's very difficult to intimidate Cammie. She's not shy in the least and has no trouble picking fights that she knows she can't win at this point, if only to get the experience to better herself.
Weakness:
People Problems: Cammie isn't shy by any means, but she can easily alienate people whose temperments don't align with hers. Her desire for attention can cause others to see her as shallow or selfish. She's a very open person and doesn't really get social barriers, so it's easy for her to make other people feel uncomfortable without her meaning to.
Style over Substance: Cammie grew up around the stage, so she has a flair for the dramatic. However, that doesn't always translate into a flair for the effective. In Pokemon battles as well as other aspects of life she finds herself draw to tactics and abilities that (to her) look really cool and flashy. If the cool way isn't the effective way, it's going to take her trail and error to find out.
APPEARANCE
Height: 5'4
Weight: 125lbs.
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Green
General Appearance: Cammie has an average build and keeps herself in decent shape. Her skin is rather pale and burns easily, especially her face. Her straight brown hair is shoulder-length and usually worn down.
Cammie wears a wide-brimmed hat with some fancy trim almost all the time to keep the sun out of her face. She has several tops, almost all of them multi-colored with elaborate trim on them, including lace cuffs and at the bottom hemn. Many are low cut (she doesn't consciously notice; she just wears what seems to draw attention to her) but long-sleeved to keep her fair skin from burning. She prefers to wear long, ankle-length skirts with the same lace trim, but when travelling she wears knee-length skirts for practicality's sake.

HISTORY
Cammie grew up in Whitesand City as the second of four children. Her parents spent and a lot of time and effort in their work on top of having four kids to take care of, Cammie never really got a ton of individual attention from them. Growing up in a fairly small house with six people Cammie got used to not having to not having privacy - to the point she doesn't get other people's hangups about it - and came to accept always being around other people.
Cammie's parents run the Slowpoke's Tail stage show, the most well-known show in Whitesand City. They do live music there themselves as well as booking other acts - her mother sings and her father plays the guitar. Cammie and her siblings were always encouraged to follow in their parents' footsteps and perform. Her other brother plays an upright bass, her younger twin sisters play the keyboard and saxophone, and all three of them can sing, but Cammie had no such luck. Her parents tried to teach her several different instruments and had her try singing in several different styles, but Camille just never found anything musical that she could succeed at.
The only thing that Cammie ever really succeeded at over her siblings was Pokemon training. Her older brother was given a Slowpoke that he never did more than teach a few tricks to. Without much more expected out of her, Cammie was given a Bulbasaur. However, Cammie was far more exicted than her brother was to get his first Pokemon, and she soon became very close to her Bulbasaur, who she named Russell. She trained until she was able to beat her older brother (which wasn't hard; he never really cared like she did), which is the first time she was really able to show him up at anything.
When Cammie's parents finally gave up trying to teach her how to perform music she took up dancing to the musical acts at the family's place. This was, suprisingly, something she was good at; she has enough rhythm to follow the music pretty well. Here Cammie discovered that she really enjoyed being in front of people and getting their attention. However, this excitement faded as she realized that she was always going to be second fiddle doing this, being a living set piece for her parents' or siblings' music while they got all the love and attention.
Seeing Pokemon training as her one big skill and one chance to be recognized for her own achievements, Cammie began saving money and doing every bit she could to save up money to begin her journey. Her parents are a big perplexed why she doesn't want to continue in the family business, but seeing that her heart was set on leaving they gave her some starting money and wished her well. Never having really been away from home, she is apprehensive about what awaits her on the road, but nevertheless she is ready to try and make a name for herself.
