PERSONA
Name: Lynette Manhasset
Nicknames: Lyn
Gender: Female
Marital Status: Single
Age: 17
Birthday: May 22
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: She is a red head with a soul. She also has a habit of twirling her hair around her finger when she is either bored or nervous.
Personality: Lynette can be considered stand offish to those outside her circle. She isn't known for her conversations, but she is very passionate about her Pokemon and her music. She is kind, but is slow to warm up to those that she just meets. She usually prefers her isolation to where she can just sing and play piano or spend time with her Squirtle. She can also be a bit of a perfectionist for herself and easily frustrate herself if she falls below her own standards she sets.
Likes: Classical music, Jazz music, swimming, isolation, pianos, excellence
Dislikes: Mediocrity, rap music, tuning woodwinds, fire
Motivations: Lynette strives to be her best in whatever she sets forth. Her passion is music and she loves to sing and play piano, both of which she excels in. She was told she could pursue a career in musical performance, but she has always felt if she pursued that as a career, she would start to hate it. She eventually wants to take over the family Gym, thus she wants to be a great Pokemon trainer.
Fears: Not much strikes fear into Lynette's heart, but losing her Squirtle is one thing that she is always afraid of. With her personality, making friends was never easy for her, but her Squirtle stayed with her through everything. He has become her best friend and she confides everything within him. She also always worries about not being the very best at what she does, and is never happy if she feels she could have done better.
Strengths:
Passionate Performer: Lynette has a passion for two things: music and Pokemon. Both of these make it to where she is driven and determined to do her best on both fronts. She uses this determination to press onward through rough patches and is able to easily recover from her loses.
Eternal Bond: Lynette will never replace her Squirtle for any other Pokemon. It has been her rock foundation through her life and has earned its place by her side as she plays her piano and writes her music.
Weakness:
Conversation Level 0: Throughout her life, Lynette has never been good at making friends. Whether it is she has low tolerance for other people, or she just never developed those social skills, talking to people is just not her strong point. She can seem stand offish and maybe sometimes rude to people, but deep down it is just her not knowing how to deal with others.
Perfectionist: Lynette has a keen eye for detail in her own performances, whether it be for music or Pokemon. She isn't always critical of others, but she is always critical of herself. If she feels she did not perform to the best of her ability, she will over analyze the situation and beat herself over how much of a failure she had been.
APPEARANCE
Height: 5'2"Weight: 115lbs.

Others: Lynette loves to wear musical accessories. She has a music book she carries with her that has a giant treble clef on it. She also loves to wear treble clef earrings when she dresses up, among other musical themed accessories. She also likes to wear a baby blue bow with her dress shirts. Skirts are also a thing she enjoys wearing, because pants are evil and oppressive.
General Appearance: Lynette is a smaller girl at her age. She has a petite build, but that is not because she is unhealthy. She keeps herself fit by exercising and eating right, mostly so she can keep her appearance well maintained. She has medium length red hair that comes down to her shoulders.
She is generally seen wearing what would be considered business casual attire. Usually some form of white button down shirt with a bow tie, or sometimes a jacket over top of it. She usually wears skirts because of how more comfortable they are. Along with her skirts, she will wear either knee high socks or normal socks along with her dress shoes. HISTORY
History: Lynette grew up in Whitesand City, daughter of the gym leader Perry Manhasset. Lynette's mother passed away when she was young, so she only had her father as a parental figure. Perry never remarried, but instead devoted much of his time to his gym, leaving Lynette to grow up mostly on her own. Without any siblings to talk with, a mother to nurture her, and even a father to parent her, she became rather jaded about the family life and never truly was on good terms with her father. She never felt his brute force method had any merit to it either, something she and he constantly butt heads over.
Due to not having much of a family life, Lynette didn't really have much of a social life growing up either. Normal social interactions were beyond her grasp and she found it easier to just ignore people and escape into her own world than to try to interact with anyone on the outside. Her greatest escape in school was in the music room, where she took piano and voice lessons. Music became her escape from everything, her peers, her father, her own social shortcomings. It was as if she was trapped in her own world with no way out, and she liked it that way.
Lynette only ever had one Pokemon to her name, her Squirtle that her father gave to her when she became of age. At first, Lynette just saw the little guy as just another Pokemon but tolerated him being around. She would often just let him be around her, but ignore him for her music. Her Squirtle, however, deeply cared for the girl because he somehow felt how much she hurt on the inside. Brash in nature, he would constantly try to show off for her to get her attention. This would constantly get on Lynette's nerves, to the point she would start reprimanding the poor little guy for being just like her father.
It wasn't until Lynette had a major fight with her father that Squirtle was actually noticed by the girl. She had gone to her room and locked the door, crying on her bed over how stupid of a father Perry was. She had not realized she locked her Pokemon in her room with her, and the Squirtle climbed up to her bed and sat down with her and gently pat her as she cried. She hadn't realized it at that moment, but she later she realized just how much this little guy cared about her and how much she actually enjoyed having him around. She gave him the name Fredrick, named after one of her favorite composers. From that point onward, her heart opened up to Fredrick and she slowly came to become inseparable from him. They would spend much of their time together, usually either sitting pool side at the water park or in Lynette's practice room as she performed and wrote her music.
When Perry lost to the Syndicate, Lynette had another falling out with her father, but this time it was more serious than their other fights. This one resulted in Perry losing his tempter with his daughter and actually kicking her out of the house until she could 'grow up and learn her place'. Lynette was so furious at her father that she vowed that she would become a better trainer than him, by her own methods, and return to take his place as the gym leader of Whitesand City. Perry, in his last duty as her father, forwarded some funds to her bank account to get her started and sent Lynette on her way. That night, Lynette had a good cry over the situation, one in which Fredrick did not leave her side on whatsoever. From then on, she made it a goal to prove to her dad that he made a mistake by taking away his title as the Whitesand City gym leader.
