TJ knocked his sister's hands off his shoulders and backed up. This might come to blows between them. Other fights had, and they had worked it out like a hard and heavy training session, but this time was different. If he lost his plans might never come to fruition. He couldn't trust her not to rat him out, even to the syndicate themselves , via their father, just to try and keep him safe.
"There is no better way. No one stands up to them so thats why they have power. the adults are scared and weak. there will never be a better life if no one does anything. Besides, father stuck me on the watch list from the first day I defied him and refused to start the syndicate prep program or whatever bullshit he was touting. See because I'm only a halfy I can get benefits and perks. Especially as his son. He's done well for himself. But to do so forces me to leave you and mom, and I refused. I defy the by living, I cause them trouble because I break their desire for order. I've had encounters with their thugs for a long time now and its because of dad and the syndicate. So there really is no better way. There is no real peace unless I fight for it.
Once I take out their warehouses I'll have another group move in... I just need to speak to their leader and he's supposed to be in Bitterspring for the next week or so. If he is and I can convince him to take over they will protect the area... they may just be a bike gang themselves they hate the syndicate as much as anyone else...."

Umi couldn't believe what she was hearing, this was borderline terrorism. Though, she couldn't fully disagree with him on the matter, but these extreme methods? A bike gang taking place of the Syndicate? She couldn't really trust a bike gang that she never knew, and who was to say they wouldn't just leave JNPRsprings and let it rot away in total anarchy? So many what if's flew through her mind, but one thing was certain...this wasn't an argument that could be stated with words.
Without acknowledging TJ with a response, she just turned to her Abra "Saito, my shinai!" she ordered as Saito burst awake and teleported away, coming back in a moment's notice with her shinai. Umi gripped it in her hand and looked at her brother with a determined stare "I don't fully disagree with your line of thinking, brother, but I have to see that your commitment is true. I am not sure of all that you are going to do, or even who these people are that you are wanting to put into power..." she stated. "...let's spar...and the answers will come from that. I need answers before I can support you on this, not just for me but for mother as well. Come, TJ" she said as she walked down the steps and into the small arena in the area.
She looked at her brother, her gaze now changed to her warrior stare "No outside help. I'll have Saito stay out of my head and we will spar with just our own personal strengths. Standard rules, best three out of five. Head shots are off limits and nothing below the belt. I'm sure you will appreciate that rule." Umi wasn't sure how well she could perform in a kimono, but this was to be settled now and waiting to go change back into her gi would have lost the emotional power on TJ. She gripped her hair ribbon and her long hair fell down and the ribbon was now being held out in front of her. "The moment the ribbon hits the ground, we begin. The triplets can judge and call out points when they are hit. Ready?" she stated as she closed her eyes briefly and let out a deep breath to gain her focus and then tossed the ribbon into the air.

"sure..." TJ's tone was flat and angry at this point. "You can have your answers. But only if we are on even footing... which we are not...Hey rat.. I need a weapon..." He plucked up a stray piece of metal and tossed it at her, aiming only for her kimono, to rip it up the side of her leg granting her proper movement. Mom could fix it later.
The triplets scattered out of the way, ducking behind cover, never having seen TJ and Umi this charged. They chattered to themselves about who could win this.
After the metal tore her skirt TJ then spun around to grab the Shinai that was dropped near him by Saito who then teleported away to fall asleep on top of Bruce's head. Weapon in hand and the ribbon hitting the ground, TJ spun around to face his sister, bringing the weapon up to block her first struck, a powerful blow that drove dust and trash scattering away from them in a circle. Through gritted teeth he spoke to her, "Don't think this is gonna be something you can just steamroll me over on like you always do. You always won before because you were right... and I knew it. But I've got a fire lit now and it can't be doused. I'm the one in the right and if vigilante justice is all we can get then so be it, I'm not giving in to them anymore."

As the metal cut into her kimono, Umi felt her legs free up. At first, she was a bit perturbed that her kimono was cut up like it was, but it could be fixed later...plus, it isn't like she always enjoyed wearing it. TJ was equalizing the playing field, and that respect and honor meant more to her than the condition of such a girly dress.
When the ribbon hit the ground, Umi glared over to her brother, channeling her spirit as a swordswoman and her aura began to ignite. It was not visible, but he chi was being focused into her body and funneled out through her appendages. Her glare was one that might stop a lesser opponent in their tracks, but TJ was definitely anything but lesser, especially in her eyes. She had never pulled her punches with him and always gave him her all, and now was no exception. She did not want to call TJ wrong, but she also didn't want to fully agree with his methods. She knew it, he knew it, the Pokemon knew it, a fight would be the only way for them to settle their opinions and agree.
Umi's initial attack was an overhead smash, one of her signature moves because of the power she could put behind it. In an impact that caused the air to run away from the siblings, taking with it the dust and trash that were still in the ring, Umi found herself surprised that TJ was able to block the attack with such ease. He normally either could not keep his strength up under the impact, or just took the blow straight to the shoulder. Feeling herself shaken up, Umi bounded backwards from her brother as he continued to speak his mind.
She understood, she truly did, but she couldn't find herself agreeing at this time. She wiped the sweat from her brow "I understand, TJ...I want nothing more than the Syndicate to leave JNPRsprings and us having a better life. I never wished for us to come to a place, to be with a father that has never even acknowledged me as his daughter, but I came here because I could not be away from you and mother. But, I'm not going to let you go bull headed into this decision without knowing you are serious, because I will not allow you to be killed" she said as she readied herself again. This time, she began to bob and weave her footing back and forth, hoping to catch TJ off guard with her movements and brought her shinai up to hopefully connect her attack to his side.

TJ took the strike to the side and aimed one at his sisters side because her strike left her open, making them even. He hopped back a few feet and backed up onto a damaged car. "I've never been more serious. I'm not going to be killed. It's time you recognize my skills for what they are. I've trained my body to fight and defend. I train with three powerful companions that will aid me in this. On that matter I'm the only person I've ever known that can command three pokemon in combat. The syndicate will not know what to do as we tear them apart piece by piece."
He jumped from the car to the corner pole of the pavilion and then off that to lunge with a speedy strike aimed at her shoulder. When he landed he rolled away hoping to avoid a counterstrike. The Triplets were silent still a they watched. Clark had run real quick to grab ll three of them cookies for the match. They were delicious.

As Umi listened to TJ, she felt the sincerity behind them, and could see the confidence in his voice. He was growing up and she knew that she could no longer baby him like she had been used to, although that wouldn't stop her from voicing her concerns like any big sister should. When he jumped from the car for a strike, Umi took the blow to the shoulder head on with no defense. She did, however, turn her body into the strike to meet it head on. The force of the blow, meeting the resistance of her body, sent it against itself and she pivoted on her left foot, adding speed behind her counter attack. As TJ rolled away, Umi spun around with the added speed of the attack and brought down an overhead slash aimed at TJ's shoulder as well. The points were tied again.
Umi bounded away again to add space between them, knowing full well TJ was stronger than her in close quarters. She fought to catch her breath, admitting to herself that she was probably the fool for taking the blow full force like that, because she could feel the wind being knocked out of her. "TJ...you are being true to your words, and you are very passionate...as your sister I could not be any more proud of you at this point in time. However, as a person, I cannot just back down from my point....we are tied in points, the next point will decide. If you beat me, I will concede that your conviction is in the right and our ancestors smile upon your way. You will have my support, and I will help you make a better life for our family. Now...come at me with your full conviction"
Umi's eyes began to squint as her tone shifted. It was the climax of the fight, the next attack would decide it all, the fate of the sibling duo. Would they continue trying to live as they were, or spark a revolution. To Umi, the answer would come to her in the next exchange. She was ready to accept either fate, but overall, she was proud of her brother for his conviction. She took her shinai and placed it down to her side, as if she were sheathing a katana. She shifted her legs into a wide stance, her left leg falling behind her body. She was in a defensive stance, one that lost its speed and power without a sword in its sheath, but for this duel it suited her means. Her stance was used to try to defeat an opponent in one strike, exposing their weakness of the moment before their strike to deliver a deadly blow with godlike speed. Her speed would be lessened, but she put all of her focus on this one strike when TJ would begin his counter assault. The next exchange...would determine the flow of their family's tide.

TJ eased up for a moment, taking a relaxed stance as his sister prepared for his final rush. Their fights always ended like this. And she had never once let him win. He always failed to counter her blow. She really was talented and he just couldn't match her in bushido. "Conviction or not, what I'm talking about is what is right. Sitting back and doing nothing is telling them that they are right to do as they please. Doing nothing is like telling them its right for their thugs to rape girls, steal our lively hood , and beat our parents and elders. This isn't about mere conviction... its about Justice. I may not be the hero we really need, but I'm one we deserve. I'll win this time... not because your conviction is weak..."
At this point Tj flipped his Shinai in his hand into what would be an awkward position for a true strike but his sister knew he was open to trying crazy things. he then drew his arm back and launched the practice sword full force in the manner one does with a javelin. It sped towards his sister to strike her in the center of her chest.
"but because I'm willing to break the rules to win...."

As TJ spoke, Umi could see that no matter what the outcome was, TJ was going to do what he wanted. This match, however, was more for her than anything else. If she was going to follow her brother, she had to know he was more than talk...that he was willing to do what he had to in order to win. And this realization was about to come to her.
Umi was prepping herself for a lunge or even a swing, not a throw. This caught her off guard enough to where she could not move to dodge out of the way. The only way she could avoid the shinai was to use her counter attack that she had prepped, lunging her own shinai upwards and blocking the projectile from making contact with her. However, this technique was never meant to miss as it left the wielder wide open on all sides with their weapon extended into the air and their upper body leaning forward. Umi's world entered slow motion as she realized she had fallen for her brother's tactic, and as she saw the shinai rocket away from her, but had lost track of what her brother was doing. Her defense was down, and she had no time to react to a counter attack.

With her defenses down TJ was free to strike the final blow. Running in low to the ground he twisted at just the last moment and delivered a reverse upward heel strike to his sisters abdomen. All three of the triplets winced as Umi was struck in the solar plexus and lifted up off the ground by the strike, all air leaving her lungs momentarily.
TJ backed away from his sister and squatted down on the balls of his feet as he waited for her to get up. She had taken worse blows before, just not any so belittling or demeaning as that one. But he had to win and win decisively. He was just glad that no one was here to see them fight. He would hate for his sister to lose face in front of anyone. That was not his goal.
"Game...set... match..."

The inevitable happened, and Umi caught her brother's attack right at the moment of impact. She knew it was over, but had no way to brace for an impact. The blow was rough, powerful, and even a little demeaning for someone who was so proud in their own swordsmanship. She was lifted off the ground, coughing and hacking as the air left her stomach, and she fell backwards onto the floor and her shinai was sent into the air and landed behind her.
She lay in place for a moment as everything rushed back to her, breathing now less labored as it had been upon impact. Umi struggled to pick herself up off the ground after that attack, her face red with embarrassment that she left herself that open and was felled by an attack like that. However, that did show her one thing...TJ was ready to do what he could to win for his ideals. Coughing lightly, she looked over to her brother with a rather long face as she was disappointed that she lost, but also with a proud air for her brother.
Umi got on her knees and lowered her head to the ground on top of her hands, a bowing gesture to show submission to the receiving party. "You win, brother. You have proven to me, through your actions, that you have the determination to see this through. As promised, I will assist you with your revolution. For you, for me, for mother...for all of us. My sword arm is yours" she vowed.

Tj plopped all the way to the ground as Umi talked her nonsense. The triplets ran out to him, but he waved them of to go look after his sister first. they took her a towel and bottle of water and pulled over a stool for her to sit on. Once done they did the same for TJ.
Once he was seated and had taken a drink of water he returned his focus to his sister. "Like hell you'll assist me. I have the triplets. You need to stay here and look after mother. And what of your two students? They need you too. And besides, you freak out whenever I do anything dangerous. Well this is all going to be dangerous and I can't have you losing your head when I get a bruise. The head of the Thunder God Tribe Bike gang is said to be a giant man with the strength to take down a charging rhyhorn with his bare hands. He's not known for being the nicest of guys towards outsiders. But I have to convince him to help no matter what. the TGT is known for being anti syndicate and pretty nuetral towards people on their turf. As long as we just led our lives as we should they would let things be as they should. I just have to convince their leader."
He stood up and started to walk away. "He's here in town. I'm gonna go see him down at the Raven's Feather pub where he's been seen lounging. Stay here with Mom and don't tell her where I've gone. If she asks, I'm just training with the triplets." He whistled twice and the trio of tyrogues grabbed their shirts and hats, put them on, creating decent disguises for themselves and fell into step behind TJ.

When TJ declined her offer for assistance, Umi was originally shocked but now she was upset. In her mind, TJ felt like he had to shoulder the burden by himself, and that was both a point of worry and an insult to Umi at the same time. As TJ began to walk off, Umi sneered and stood up from the stool, grabbing her shinai and watching as TJ and the triplets walked off. She retorted momentarily "You aren't in this alone, dimwit!" she yelled as she turned her back to him and began to walk back to the house, Saito teleporting after her.
Once in the house, Umi began to mutter to herself "Stupid TJ...going off and acting the tough guy" she growled. Suddenly, a figure appeared from behind one of the sliding doors and called out to Umi "And where is your brother going off to, all by himself and acting the tough guy?" her mother said, almost accusatory towards Umi. This caused her to stop and look at her mother's stare, who was giving her the motherly trap to lie and get into more trouble. Umi gasped as her mother scared her, but then just sighed, knowing the cat was out of the bag. "Well...you see mom....TJ is...uh...well he..." Megumi interrupted "Shouldering the burdens of the world for you and me? I am sure he is" she finished. Umi was about to say something in response, but Megumi put her finger on Umi's mouth to silence her "Shhh, I know...you want to go help him. Don't worry, I'll be fine here by myself. You both have good heads on your shoulders...but I do worry about you all. Go find TJ, and make sure he is safe" she said.
Umi didn't really know what to say, her mother was always understanding but...this understanding? "Mom, I..." Megumi interrupted again "I do not wish to know what you two are planning. With your father in the Syndicate, it is best I do not know anything. Go, I'll take care of things here" she offered. Umi, still confused, just nodded to her mother and ran to her room to get changed. Out of the dreaded kimono and into her comfortable gi, she grabbed her actual katana and put it on her side. She tied her hair back again and looked over to Saito "Alright, Saito, I'm heading out to find TJ and help him out with this. I need you to teleport me to the Raven's Feather pub, and we will try to find TJ there" she ordered. Saito let out a low hum and then they both suddenly vanished from Umi's room. Meanwhile, Megumi watched from a crack in the door as her daughter teleported out to join her son and she thought to herself Please be safe, my children, and come home to me, a single tear falling down her cheek.

When TJ got to the Raven's feather pub the place was already in chaos. It looked like a few local gangs had banded together and taken over the place to have a nice chat with the head of the TGT while he was in town. Sore looking or knocked out members of the TGT sat outside glowering. They must have been caught unprepared. TJ sauntered up to the door and without waiting made a quick motion with his fingers across his neck and two of the triplets sped forward and knocked out the two guards at the door with powerful punches.
TJ didn't bother stopping as the two idiots folded over, he walked right into the pub, kicking the door in. Heads turned as the door slammed against the wall and he stepped in, silhouetted by the sun. from the back someone yelled, "Who the hell are you?" Likely one of the leaders. TJ lifted his hat up so that he could look out upon the twenty five or so members of the local gangs here and smiled. "Justice..."
With a whistle and another quick cutting motion TJ and the Triplets burst into the room and began to make their way towards the back room. If they were halted they took out their attacker, leaving the innocents and anyone that chose not to fight alone.
In the back room, listening to the ruckus sat three men and two hefty guards at the door. Both guards had Machop standing beside them. The three men seated looked to be discussing business. Two wore dark leathers but had no weapons or pokeballs on them. The third man was dressed almost regally, his jacket draped over him like a cape. He had six capture balls on the table in front of him. None of them had been opened. He seemed unconcerned when one of the two men in front of hims said "Looks like we have company...Better not be those syndicate cronies again... we paid our dues for the month..."

As TJ and the triplets made their way to the back, many of the gang found out exactly why they were a force to be reckoned with. As they approached the table of three, the man with the coat draped over his shoulders just sat back and watched their ascent in his direction. He had his arms crossed and a leg resting casually on top of the other. He looked like a tall, well built man with a scar that resembled a lightning bolt marking from his forehead to below his right eye. He waved his hand to dismiss the man's accusations of the Syndicate, stating "If it was the Syndicate, there would have been many more innocent casualties. Look..." he said, pointing, "...only those that got in their way were injured. He spared those that were either innocent, or too cowardly to attack them. Boy's got gusto" he said.
Without warning, the man stood up from his seat, towering over everyone else in the room. His short, blonde hair was greased back and on his head sat headphones that had spikes pointed outwards. His muscles in his forearms were bulging and some could even see his veins move. He looked down at TJ and the triplets, a blank stare on his face, and he addressed his visitors. "You definitely are not Syndicate, so what occasion have I missed that has caused you to feel the urge to come barge into this fine establishment, attack some of my men, and then present yourself to me, boy?" he inquired in a dominant voice. He hocked up and spit down on the floor next to him, wiped his mouth, and continued "It ain't every day we get two visitors with Pokemon in such a short window of time, looking to start a fight. First it was that chick with a sword and the Abra....girl just teleported right into here and demanded that we show her to her brother. Now we have you...so tell me, why have I become so popular in the past ten minutes?"

When the head of the TGT stood up and addressed him, TJ let go of the thug he was throttling and whistled for the triplets to come to him. They had mopped up the rest of the thugs anyways. He glared up at the mountain of a man who had called him out, ignoring that apparently his sister had come first looking for him. "I have nothing against the Thunder god Tribe... Sir.... however, the scumbags that you are dealing with like to cause trouble on my home turf. They have no honor, they rape, they steal, and they destroy. They crush the hope of those that live in JNPRSprings because they think they are strong and they think that since they play nice with the syndicate, they will be left to their power. But that ends today. If the gangs infesting JNPR springs are not out by sundown i will take out the trash myself right after I remove the Syndicate off my turf."
The two gang leader's body guards laughed, but they were cut short by their bosses. "You think one boy an his wimpy pokemon can take out the twin chains of Bitterspring city?" "Yeah... considering you two are the weakest gangs in the city... You came to show power... to fake power and influence to the TGT so maybe they would favor you... But you are not worth the mud on his boots. So what I would suggest is that you get your sorry asses out of here and stay off my turf. I've got business here. If you leave quietly I might let you keep your dignity."
The two leaders growled angrily and one motioned to his guard. "Kill the punk." As the machops moved in to attack at their owners command Bruce and Barry tackled them to the ground, Clark tackled one of the guards and the last one was reverse kicked, much like Umi had been earlier, but this kick connected with the mans jaw, a sound coming after the blow, marking that TJ had obviously shattered it.
As the four stood back up and faced the leaders with a glare, the two in leather, facing away from the head of the TGT, were starting to pull firearms out of their jackets. "Fine kid... lets see just how invincible you really are..."
